Install Stock Recovery on Galaxy S4 I9500 / I9505
Step 1. Download the Latest Samsung Galaxy S4 usb drivers on your computer and install it.
Step 2. Ensure that USB Debugging Mode is enabled on the phone to connect your device with the computer. Here is the guide which helps you to enable USB Debugging mode in your Galaxy S 4.
Step 3. Download stock recovery for your device:
GT-I9500: STOCK_REC-i9500.tar
GT-I9505: STOCK_REC-i9505.tar
Step 4. Now stock recovery is downloaded on your desktop, now its time to download ODIN application on your computer to install the stock recovery on your phone. Download ODIN application here. After the installation run the application on your desktop.
Step 5. Now put your device in download mode. By pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power. ress Power button again to confirm booting in download mode.
Step 6. Now connect your Galaxy S4 with computer via USB cable and Odin will now detect the connected device. When your device will be connected to your computer, one ID:COM boxes will turn yellow after some time or you can see the “Added!!” option on the bottom left of ODIN screen.
Step 7. Now click on “PDA” button in Odin, then browse and select the stock recovery .tar file that you downloaded on Step 3. After selecting the file, make sure that:
F . Reset Time checkbox is checked.
Auto Reboot checkbox is checked.
Other checkboxes should be unchecked.
Step 8. After that click on “Start” to start the process of installing the stock recovery on Galaxy S4 I9500 / I9505.
It will take some time to complete. Once done, your device will reboot. Now you can disconnect your device from the computer and now your phone has the Stock Recovery and the TWRP, ClockworkMod (CWM) recovery is uninstalled from your device.
