How to Update Galaxy Note 2 N7100 to Official Jelly Bean 4.1.2 XXDMC3 OS
Step 1. First thing you have to is, enable USB debugging mode on your Galaxy 4, here is the guide to enable USB debugging mode.
Step 2. After this you have to install the Galaxy Note 2 drivers on your computer; so, download the drivers and install it on your PC.
Step 3. On now time to download the Firmware. Download XXDMC3 Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware Package and Odin from here to your computer. After that extract both the files on your Computer.
Step 4. Now run the ODIN application from yur desktop and Turn off the Galaxy Note 2 N7100 as you need to enter it into download mode. TO do this press and hold: Power, Volume Down and Menu buttons at the same time.
Step 5. Now you are on the Download mode, so its time to connect your device with the computer via USB cable. Once the device is connected you can see the one ID:COM boxes will turn yellow after some time. If not, then you have to restart Odin application or reinstall the drivers on your computer and repeat the steps from above.
Step 6. Now in ODIN hit the ‘PDA’ button to select the firmware file that you download on step 3 within the package you just unzipped.
Step 7. Now click on “Start” to start the process of firmware update. It will take around 3 -4 minutes for applying the firmware update on your Galaxy Note 2 N7100.
Once the update is complete, you will see the “pass” message displayed on Odin. now at this time you can disconnect you device from the cable and reboot your phone.
