Apple on Thursday released a software update for its new iOS 5 operating system to fix the battery problems in iPhone 4S. That new iOS 5.0.1 update will fix the “bugs” affecting battery life, and also adds some missing multitasking gestures to the first addition of the iPad. This is the first OS update available both via iTunes and over-the-air. So you can update your Device Over-the-Air also.
To update using the over-the-air technology, users must have access to a WiFi connection, at least 50 percent battery power, or be plugged into a power-source. Or you can also download the new Apple iOS 5.0.1 update by syncing your device with a PC running iTunes.
