Apple today opened its web site for iPad international pre-orders. Customers from Australia (Australia), Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK can pre-order the iPad from their respective Apple stores; the actual device is slated to ship on May 28. Though the rest of the world had to wait an extra two months, the plus side is that both the wifi and 3G models are due to arrive at the same time. That should at the very least make it easier to purchase the model you want on launch.
Orders are limited to two iPads per customer. The prices revealed were exactly what Apple had states in its press release regarding international pricing for the iPad:
Wi-Fi-only iPad:
* 16GB – €479 Europe, £429 U.K., $629 Australian
* 32GB – €579 Europe, £499 U.K., $759 Australian
* 64GB – €679 Europe, £599 U.K., $879 Australian
Wi-Fi + 3G iPad
