Dell today finally outlined plans to ship its first pure touch tablet, the Streak. Following pre-orders, the company is shipping the Android tablet on Friday the 13th for $300 with a two-year AT&T data plan or $550 as an unlocked device. For $549.99 you can get the Streak commitment-free. Those that were in on the pre-sale registration, you will be able to place your order on August 12th to reserve the Streak.
The Dell Streak tablet features a 5 inch, 800 x 480 pixel display, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 5MP camera and 3G modem. It also comes with a 2GB microSD card for storage. The tablet ships with Google Android 1.6, but an update should be available soon which will bring the device up to Android 2.2 with support for Adobe Flash.
