On Tuesday Apple unveiled the next version of its best-selling iPhone 4S Featuring faster processing chip, new camera and voice-command capability. The iPhone 4S with Apple’s A5 dual core processor (as in iPad2) will be seven times faster than the iPhone 4. The 4S also includes a feature called Siri, a virtual personal assistant that uses voice control to perform a variety of common mobile phone tasks. With the help of Siri user can send text messages, find nearby restaurants, check weather and stocks, and even schedule meetings by speaking into the phone.
The new iPhone has been priced at $199, $299 and $399 with two-year contract for 16GB, 32 GB and 64 GB models respectively. It will be launched on October 14 in seven countries, followed by another 22 on October 28 and 70 countries by end of the year. Apple will be launching with over 100 carriers, making it the fastest and widest iPhone launch ever.
